Research
We study the interactions of light and matter at the nanometer scale. By using the near-field optics and novel nano technologies we are able to explore the nano world beyond the optical diffraction limit. Our current research topics are:
  1. Near-field optical interactions on nano-particles, clusters, and fractal thin films; interactions of the surface plasmon polariton and localized surface plasmon; plasmon waveguides.
  2. Electro-optical components and devices studied by near-field scanning optical microscopy and imaging spectroscopy.
  3. Study of near-field optical imaging, recording, sensing and nanolithography.
  4. Study of the fabrication and application of plasmonic crystals, metamaterials and their properties of waveguiding, nonlinearity, and amplification.
  5. Nano-photonics or nano-optics, near-field optics, plasmonics, etc.
