Search Committee for 5th Dean of NTU College of Life Science Seeks Recommendations
I. The term of office of the current Dean of the College will expire on July 31, 2023. From this day, in accordance with the Regulations Governing the Selection of the Dean of the College of Life Science of National Taiwan University, the Guidelines for the Selection of the Dean of the College of Life Science of National Taiwan University, and the resolution of the first meeting of the committee, recommendations for the 5th Dean of the College shall be openly sought and accepted.
II. In addition to recommendation by the search committee, candidates for the position of Dean of the College can also be self-registered or publicly recommended. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Professor or equivalent qualification of a domestic or overseas academic institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
- Work experience in a life science-related organization or in an academic field recognized by the selection committee as relevant to life science.
- Forward-thinking in education, with considerable academic achievement and administrative experience.
III. Candidates for the position of Dean may be nominated in the following manners:
(A) Full-time professors of the College who meet the preceding qualifications and are on salary shall be recommended by three or more members of the selection committee after seeking their consent, with no limitation on the number of signatures of each member.
(B) A person outside the College who meets the preceding qualifications may become a candidate for Dean in accordance with the following:
- If seven or more full-time lecturers or above are on the payroll of the College, each faculty member is limited to signing for one person.
- If three or more of the selection committee members cosign, there is no limit to the number of cosigners for each member.
- Recommended by seven or more faculty members who are Associate Professors or above from life science colleges and universities domestically or internationally.
- Those who recommend themselves shall have approval by at least half of the selection committee.

After completing the form, please send it along with relevant supporting information by registered mail (postmarked) or deliver it to the Office of the College of Life Science, National Taiwan University, to be forwarded to the "NTU College of Life Science Dean Search Committee" before 17:00 on April 28, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.
