The NTU Energy × Economy × Environment (E3) Group sits within the Department of Civil Engineering and led by Professor Hsieh.
The E3 group focuses on the contemporary challenges of sustainable energy system transition: how to effectively reduce energy-related CO2 and pollution emissions in the face of growing energy demand? The Hsieh research group aims to accelerate the energy transition in Taiwan and the world by creating and developing the advanced knowledge, ideas, and methodologies.
Transportation plays a critical role in the clean energy transition. The NTU E3 group is particularly interested in pathways towards sustainable mobility, considering the coupling of the transport and energy sectors. We are currently building data-driven models and decision-support tools to reduce the environmental impacts of ground transportation systems.
