It is our great pleasure to invite Prof. Imamura from Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan, and his advising students, along with faculty members and students from National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, Academia Sinica, National Taipei University, and CTBC Business School to attend the Taiwan-Japan Academic Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights. The faculty members extend their appreciation for the presenters' endeavors and their vivid presentations, especially the topics that the presenters addressed related to the current dilemma. For instance, the legal issue of copyright law regarding short snap movie clips, video boxes, and VTubers.
In the afternoon, Prof. Imamura presented on the current legal issues related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to Prof. Imamura, thanks to the current policy, AI developers stationed in Japan can train their AI models without being considered infringing, provided they follow certain criteria. However, whether this policy is suitable is still a subject of debate in Japan.
The faculty members had exciting ideas for exchange and expression during the workshop.
