The College of Social Sciences (NTU COSS) is composed of four departments and three graduate institutes, namely the Department of Political Science, Department of Economics, Department of Sociology, Department of Social Work, Graduate Institute of National Development, Graduate Institute of Journalism, and Graduate Institute of Pubic Affairs. All the Departments and Graduate Institutes offer Master's and Ph.D. degrees, except for the Graduate Institute of Journalism and Graduate Institute of Public Affairs, which only offer Master's degree. The Department of Political Science, Department of Economics, and Graduate Institute of National Development have also implemented executive master's programs for mid-career professionals with an aim to better combine theory with practice.
