Visiting of Prof. Bernard Yeung and Prof. Wei-Jun Jean Yeung-2016.09.28

Professor Yeung's research work has featured in more than 100 research publications covering topics in finance, strategy, foreign direct investment, international trade, International macroeconomics, institutional economics, sustainability, and economic history.
He has also won several scholarly honours and awards for academic excellence, including the Irwin Outstanding Educator Award (2013) from the Business Policy and Strategy (BPS) division of the Academy of Management; the Excellence in TeachingAward (Executive Education) by Stern School of Business at NYU.
It's our honor to invite Professor Yeung to visit Department of Economics on Sep. 29 and gave us an inspiring talk about State-run Banks, Money Growth and the Real Economy.

Wei-Jun Jean Yeung is Provost’s Chair Professor of Sociology, Founding Director of the Family and Population Centre, and a Research Leader in the Asia Research Institute in the National University of Singapore (NUS). 
She has published widely in top social science journals. Her research interests are in American and Chinese family demographic changes and how they relate to children’s and young adults’ well-being. Her recent publications include edited volumes on Asian Fatherhood, Growing up in One-Parent Families in Asia, Transitioning to Adulthood in Asia, Marriage in Asia, Living Alone: One-Person Households in Asia, and Economic Stress, Human Capital and Families in Asia.
We’re so glad Wei-Jun Jean Yeung visited Department of Sociology on Sep. 29 and gave us a great speech. The topic of her speech is “Population Trends and Challenges in Asia”.
