2021 教育部學海惜珠計畫

The department should send the recommendation list and information to the college office before 3/12 (Fridaynoon 12:00. Please also email the "Student Recommendation List" (Appendix 2) and the electronic files of "Application Payment Documents " to minatang@ntu.edu.tw.

In addition to 1) the personal information sheet and the electronic files of "Application Payment Documents " (see the third subpoint of point 5 for details, please name the file according to the prescribed format). Please attach additional documents: 2) Chinese transcripts over the years and 3) the study plan.

 

2021 Academic Year(2021/2022Academic Year)of the Ministry of Education's 學海惜珠 Program Application

1. Qualification:

(1)        Through the selection handled by different colleges, departments, institutes, and centers of the school. Qualifiers will exchange abroad for one semester or one academic year in the 2021 academic year.

(2)        Taiwanese citizens with household registration in Taiwan.

(3)        With government-issued certificates for low-income households, low-middle-income households, or related qualifications for low-middle-income households. (Those with a financially disadvantaged certificate or who are planning to apply for a low-income household/low-middle-income household certificate will not be recognized).

(4)        Those who are not admitted to schools in mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau.

2. The Recommendation Order:

(1)        University-level exchange students with valid low-income household certificates.

(2)         College-level exchange students with valid low-income household certificates.

(3)         University-level exchange students with valid low-middle-income household certificates.

(4)        College-level exchange students with valid low-middle-income household certificates.

3.Quota:determined by the Ministry of Education.

4.Value offered:determined by the Ministry of Education.

5.How to apply:

(1)         The college will be in charge of selecting students and prioritizing them, there is no limit regarding the number of students.

(2)        Before 2021Year3March16, all colleges are requested to submit the electronic files of "Selected Students List" (Appendix 1), "Students Personal Information Form" (Appendix 2), and "Application Payment Documents " (see the third subpoint of point 5 for details, please name the file according to the prescribed format) via e-mail(huichichang@ntu.edu.tw)to Ms. 張惠琪, the person in charge. In addition, the paper documents of the " Selected Students List" (Appendix 1) shall be submitted to Ms. 張惠琪.

(3)        Application Payment Documents:

1.          A photocopy of the household registration book issued by a government agency (with one’s signature and a mark stating “this is consistent with the original").

3.          A study plan with 1,000 to 1,500 words (including personal autobiography, goals, and plans of studying abroad, course selection plan, the relevance of course selection plan with one’s current study, future prospects).

5.          Chinese transcripts (graduate students must attach the Chinese transcripts of their undergraduate school years).

6.Admission list will be announced on the website of the International Affairs Office before 2021Year6June30.

7. Scholarship Choice:

(1)         Students exchanging for one semester: For those exchanging in the first semester (September), a full scholarship will be issued in October. For those exchanging in the second semester (February), a full scholarship will be issued in February.

(2)        Students exchanging for one academic year: Partial scholarship will be granted separately, 80% of the scholarship will be issued in October, and 20% of the scholarship will be issued in February of the following year.

8.Regulations:

(1)         If a scholarship is offered by the admitted school, students will only receive the scholarship from that school. If the value of the on-campus scholarship is higher than that offered by the admitted school, with relevant certificates, the difference will be made up by the on-campus scholarship.

(2)         Each student can apply for multiple on-campus scholarships at the same time, but only one scholarship will be rewarded. If there are exclusive regulations, the regulations shall be followed.

1.      學海惜珠

2.      Scholarships offered by admitted schools

3.      Scholarships for limited countries, regions, and fields

4.       National Taiwan University Overseas Exchange Student Scholarship, National Taiwan University 希望出航Scholarship

9.Obligations of qualified students:

(1)       Qualified students who will be exchanging aboard and their guardians must sign a contract with the school one month prior to leaving, and abide by the terms of the contract; if they do not sign, they will not receive the scholarship.

(2)       Qualified students must turn in a questionnaire and /a Chinese/English report within 1,000 words to the project website within two weeks after the end of their exchange. For those who fail to turn in, the scholarship needs to be returned fully within three months.

(3)       When studying abroad, students must participate in education exhibitions held by the admitted school to promote National Taiwan University and various student exchange programs. After the exchange period, they must also participate in the annual "National Taiwan University Overseas Education Exhibition" to introduce overseas schools and share their experiences.

(4)       If the qualified students drop out, be suspended, decide not to return to Taiwan to continue their studies, or return early without complying with the originally agreed exchange period, the scholarship they had received shall be repaid fully within two months after the end of their exchange.

(5)       Those who fail to get the admission permit or do not enroll on time will have their scholarship canceled immediately, and their qualification will not be retained.

10.               If encounter natural disaster, war, rebellion, turmoil, epidemic, or other inevitable events that are not held responsible by the school, thus resulting in the inability or delay of one’s exchange, which in turn affects one’s right of receiving the scholarship, the International Affairs Office reserves the right to make the final decision.

11.        If there are any unresolved matters, they shall be handled in accordance with 2021教育部鼓勵國內大專校院選送學生出國研修或國外專業實習補助要點and announcements of the International Affairs Office.。
